This is a beginner level class to give students the foundation and confidence they will need to begin instructing barre classes. This course includes an introduction to the history and principles of barre with a familiarization of intermediate level exercises. Each exercise includes training on modifications, challenges, the purpose of the exercise and any precautions for injuries and special populations. How to design and teach group classes and guidelines for how to properly cue and correct people.

Certification requirements: Teach a class in studio or by video submission within 90 days of completing class. Certification will not be issued until demo class or video submission critique is done. Not all participates pass on their first time teaching, however, we will continue to work with you to assist you. You have two subsequent attempts at teaching to pass. If you are unable to pass the critique after all three attempts you must retake the course (at no cost)before testing again.
